Super Yummy Beef Biryani Recipe

Biryani is a common and popular dish, especially in Pakistan. Biryani has so many types, like you can make it with chicken, mutton, or with beef depending on what type of meat you prefer.

Those who have no issues with beef can have beef biryani. But, if you don’t like beef, you would love mutton biryani or chicken biryani as well.

Since biryani becomes tasty with more meat so those with high cholesterol must avoid beef or mutton, and should have chicken biryani.

Both rice and meat are the main ingredients of beef biryani recipe, including other spices that you need while cooking beef.

Biryani loses its taste if there are fewer spices, or if the quality of the rice is poor, so focus on these two elements. I love beef biryani made in Aliz olive oil because I am so much health conscious.

Dry plums are also very important part of beef biryani recipe; however, you can substitute it with mango pickle. Some cooks also add biryani masala that is easily available in the market. But cooking biryani with fresh ingredients will make it more original and tasty.

You can also make it innovative by adding potatoes or can garnish it with boiled eggs depending on your taste and style.

Things You Need

Basmati or any other Long Grain Rice: 1 Kg
Clean Beef, Cut Into Small Pieces: 1 Kg
Sliced Onion: 1 Kg
Chopped Tomatoes: 1 Kg
Oil: 1 Cup
Salt, Black Pepper, Turmeric Powder, and Red Chilies: as per taste

How to Prepare

First of all, boil the beef with some water, salt, turmeric, and black pepper. Heat oil in a pan and add boiled beef to it. When beef gets brown, remove it and place it over kitchen napkins to remove any excess oil.

Stir fry onions in hot oil for 7 to 10 minutes, and then add some turmeric and chili powder as per taste. Also add a little coriander powder, bay leaves, black
peppercorns, and cardamoms.

Mix them all making a dry paste and add all tomato slices to it and cook till it gets dry. Put beef into this mixture and also add salt as per taste. Fry all ingredients together until the oil gets on the surface.

Boil your rice by adding some oil and remove them from water when they are half cooked. Strain water from the rice.

Take a separate large pan, and make layers of rice and beef, overlapping each
other. You can make 4 to 5 layers depending on your ingredients. You can also add nuts and pickle if you like.

Garnish it with coriander or mint leaves. Place the rice on low heat for 5 minutes until all spices get mixed, then serve it hot.
